About Us

About Us (1)

A Different Kind of Litigation Support

Have you ever considered the value of a good idea?

We really want you to think about this question. If you do, you will understand why Art of Facts is indeed different. In addition to always being there for you as technically-skilled professionals, we are proud of and believe in our ideas, which keep us refiguring the possibilities for effective use of creativity and design. Our most successful campaigns have been those where we were unleashed, and the process of free-thinking and creative solutions led the attack.

We don't think you will find other firms scouting junk yards for cars to cut up, sewing life-like dummies for the purpose of demonstration, documenting flood damage in rubber suits beneath the medical center, nor will you find them so driven by ideas they stop at nothing to make their point.

Sound compelling? This is the culture of Art of Facts. Welcome.

The Art of Facts Team:

Stacey Manela

During her seven year tenure with a Houston law firm Stacey earned a reputation for hard-hitting information graphics in high-stakes litigation and effective client communication materials in the mass-tort arena.

In 1997, upon a strong desire to create an impact in the legal community, Stacey formed Art of Facts. Fueled by strong design principles (and lots of Starbucks) and built on an even stronger reputation of expertise and responsiveness, Art of Facts continues to grow – feeding on teamwork, attention to detail, unrealized limits of creativity, respect for the American jury system and loyal relationships with outstanding clients.

Stacey has been a presenter at American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA) conferences, a faculty member at Defense Research Institute (DRI) seminars, a featured small business success in a Compaq Computer marketing initiative and lead consultant for graphics and technology for more than 100 trials. Since 2001, Art of Facts has a maintained a consistent ranking among the top small businesses in the U.S. and has formed several key alliances with strategic partners to add public relations and website marketing tools to its arsenal of services.

Stacey enjoys music (always better live), automobiles (like beer, always better German), red wine (like kisses, almost always French), photography (like thinking, black and white is better.) Stacey has been known to speak out against pantyhose, crooked Christmas lights, and the designated hitter. She insists Apple is better than PC. She believes that Jay Cutler can rally the Bears to a Super Bowl. Stacey both praises and curses Jane Austen for the invention of Mr. Darcy. Stacey enjoys time with her daughter, Libby and their Mastiff, Beulah along with the challenges of snowboarding and golf.

Oh, by the way, Stacey hates to lose

Crystal Copeland

Crystal is a Houstonian born and bred. She attended Bellaire High School and graduated number one in her class in 1988. Then on to Texas A&M to major in Business Management. After 4 1/2 awesome years she graduated and soon after married her high school sweetheart, John (they met in homeroom…awwww). In 1996 came beautiful twin daughters named Emily and Caitlin, and they are the light of Crystal’s life. Crystal came to Art of Facts in 2006 and is the office manager, travel-scheduler, problem-fixer in the company. If Crystal were reincarnated as a dog, she would be a Jack Russell-pit bull mix. ‘Nuff said.

Karie Cortes-Costa, the principal of Vendible, LLC, has been developing Web sites and related e-marketing activities since 1996. Over the years, she has designed Web sites utilizing persuasion architecture techniques designed to attract search engines and appeal to consumers, converting visitors to users.
